This service is available to all Russell-Alexander Publishing authors as part of our Premium Editing Package and New Author Packages, ensuring your book captures attention and engages readers from the very first glance. Designs from our team will be shared across various social media platforms on the day of publication, boosting your book’s visual appeal and helping it stand out from the start.

Our Design Team is also available to external authors who are not currently working with Russell-Alexander Publishing. If you’re seeking creative, impactful design services, please contact your preferred designers directly for a quotation. This option allows all authors to benefit from our designers’ expertise, helping you present your book to your audience in the best light with a unique, professional look.

About Laurel Molly:

Laurel Molly is an award-winning freelance illustrator and animator based in Bristol.  She’s always curious to look into human behaviour and our world, telling stories through loose lines and gentle colours. Her personal work draws from cultural influences, inspired by the nuances of everyday life, people’s interactions and architectural aesthetics. Through her illustration she can portray emotive subjects in a soft manner, using light shadow and colour to bring a strong sense of positivity. Her occasional use of metaphor can serve as a powerful tool to convey complex concepts and enable understanding. She’s illustrated for clients such as The Washington Post, Financial Times and The Big Issue.

About Lucian Tumani:

Lucian Tumani is an artist and illustrator from the UK specialising in science fiction, fantasy and horror stories. He has produced illustrations and cover art for multiple debut authors, comic writers and board game makers. While science fiction and fantasy are his particular areas of interest, he remains open to all sorts of genres.

Lucian studied English Literature at the University of Warwick and is familiar with all the ins and outs of storytelling, and how best to bring an author’s words to life.

Megan Griffiths

About Megan Griffiths:

Meg is a versatile illustrator. She has a love for children’s books, but is not exclusive to that genre. Her style is diverse, with the ability to adapt where she sees fit based on the individual project. Meg has illustrated a number of books catering to different ages, having worked for the Welsh online reading resource Darllen Co. The artist loves her animals and landscapes, aiming to fit in intricate details to her illustrations. Meg tends to illustrate either digitally or by hand using pen and ink, gouache or watercolours.

Michelle Shore

About Michelle Shore:

Michelle is an artist based in the Peak District.  Having drawn pictures all her life, drawing is Michelle’s first love. She specialises in illustrations in fine line pen, sometimes adding touches of watercolour.  She enjoys working with narratives, inspired by stories, myth, folklore and the beauty of the inner magic of the natural world.  Every picture tells a story and Michelle likes to capture the story within.

Michelle graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2019 with her BA(Hons) in Illustration. She tries to inspire others with the message that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

Michelle also tutors, running workshops and classes in all mediums.

Nicholas Child

About Nicholas Child:

In 2014,  Nicholas experienced depression and was unable to work. As part of his therapy, he returned to his childhood hobby of illustration. Sketching his pugs and miniature schnauzer brought light to dark days; now, with his illustrated children’s books, he’s bringing light and joy to others.
Based in Cheshire, England, Nicholas Child created the award-nominated The Grumble & Co. Using his illustrations of his dogs and put them onto greetings cards.
Soon, what started out as a mindfulness exercise, turned into a full-time business selling his designs into the design-led Paperchase, nationally through Sainsbury’s and internationally through export.
Now, he creates incredibly intricate, cute and charming illustrations for children’s books, editorial illustrations and educational material.
His latest client is Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, illustrating her second edition of her children’s etiquette book, Manners Begin at Breakfast.

About Scott Macniven:

Scott Macniven is an Australian born artist living in Scotland. His artwork has always focused on the whimsical side of fantasy, however after years of working in the comics book industry he has leant his hand to a variety of genres. Scott’s artwork is created traditionally with inks, watercolours, or oil paints, and has taken a more YA based approach lately, despite gaining popularity with his portraits and mystical artworks.

Hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Seanna Murdock is an illustrator known for her unique artistic style and engaging storytelling through visuals. With a background in fine arts and a passion for drawing, she has developed a distinctive approach that often blends whimsy with emotional depth. Seanna’s work spans various mediums, including digital illustration and traditional techniques, allowing her to create dynamic pieces for books, magazines, and other visual projects.

 Her illustrations often feature vibrant colours and imaginative characters, appealing to both children and adults alike. Seanna has an artistic vision to enhance narratives and bring stories to life. As an artist, she continues to explore new themes and styles, striving to connect with audiences through her creative expressions. About Sonali Mondol:

Sonali is a seasoned Graphic Designer and Children’s Book Illustrator with a passion for helping businesses and non-profits stand out through creative design. With work experience spanning form collaborating with top advertising agencies, distinguished publishers and corporate clients from India to the UK and Ireland. Sonali also takes pride in her role as a mentor and creative workshop facilitator, where she promotes equality, diversity, inclusion (EDI), mental health well-being, and empowers others to develop new creative skills. In addition, she serves as a volunteer engagement manager and treasurer for a minority community cultural club based in Belfast.

For over 22 years, Sonali has been illustrating children’s books, both hand-drawn and digitally using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate, for prestigious publishers in India. She has also designed and illustrated beauty product packaging and instruction guides for companies in the U.K. Some of the notable organizations she has collaborated with include Denman Group Ltd., Hachette Book Group, Indiannica Learning (part of Encyclopaedia Britannica), Cambridge University Press India, Oxford University Press India, and Pearson Education India Ltd. Her work spans a variety of subjects, including English literature, social sciences, environmental studies, science, Hindi literature, and numeracy. Sonali’s projects range from page illustrations and internal page layout design to book cover art, poster designs, and other back matter elements. Her illustration style spans semi-realistic, cartoon, and occasionally realistic work, such as portraits and life studies of objects and scenes. This versatility allows her to seamlessly align with an author’s vision and resonate with diverse audiences.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Sonali is the founder and artist at Chirpy Cheers Studios, an artsy small business. Outside of work, she enjoys socialising, spending quality time with her family, reading, exercising, and running. With a dynamic blend of professional skills and personal interests, Sonali is always open to new collaborations and creative adventures.

About Spike Greenwood:

Illustrator and designer based in the curious city of Oxford, owning and living in a 16th century pub with my Basset Hound, Sherlock.
I have worked for Usbourne Books, The Jim Henson Creature Workshop, various Universities creating historical maps, and many indie book publishers designing book covers and social media artwork.
I illustrate and write my own curious books as well as designing and illustrating prints and T-shirts, and loads of requests for bespoke tattoos!
I have a History BA, and a Masters in Cromwellian Government (even less useful than you think!).
