Premium Package: Comprehensive Developmental and Line Editing, with Final Proofreading and Formatting

This package provides the most in-depth editorial support, combining developmental and line editing with final proofreading and formatting. Suitable for both fiction and non-fiction, it ensures the manuscript is fully refined, polished, and ready for publication.

Includes:

  • Developmental Editing: Provides an in-depth analysis of the manuscript’s structure, looking at plot (fiction), argument flow (non-fiction), pacing, character development (fiction), or strength of ideas (non-fiction). Offers specific suggestions for improving the manuscript’s coherence, focus, and impact.
  • For fiction, this includes feedback on plot development, character arcs, pacing, world-building (if applicable), dialogue, and themes.
  • For non-fiction, this involves assessing the clarity and persuasiveness of arguments, the organization of ideas, and whether the information is effectively presented to the target audience.
  • Line Editing: Focuses on sentence-level concerns, improving the manuscript’s tone, style, and readability. Enhances word choice, sentence structure, and overall flow, while maintaining the author’s voice.
  • In-depth Feedback: Detailed editorial report outlining the manuscript’s strengths, weaknesses, and actionable suggestions for revision. Includes a chapter-by-chapter breakdown of recommended changes.
  • Pre-publication book review: After a Meet the Author event with our reviewers, receive honest, transparent reviews from the Literary Review Team, ready to be shared across various social media platforms on your publication day. Authors receiving a book review from the Literary Review Team will show their gratitude by sending each reviewer a personalised, signed copy of their published book.
  • Follow-up Consultation: After the author reviews the edits, a one-on-one consultation is provided to discuss the feedback, clarify suggestions, and answer any questions about the revision process.
  • Optional Second Round of Edits: Once revisions are made, a second, lighter round of copyediting and feedback is offered to refine the final version.
  • Final Proofreading: After all major revisions are complete, a final proofreading pass is conducted to catch any last errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation, ensuring a flawless manuscript.
  • Final Formatting: Includes professional formatting for both print and e-book, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., chapter headings, margins, page breaks, font consistency, and layout).
  • Submission Package Support: Includes a review and revision of the query letter, book proposal, and/or synopsis to ensure the submission is polished and market-ready.

Best for:

  • Authors who want comprehensive feedback on both the content and style of their manuscript, whether fiction or non-fiction.
  • Writers seeking to significantly improve the structure, coherence, and impact of their work through in-depth revisions and polishing.
  • Manuscripts that are nearing publication and require final proofreading and formatting to ensure they meet industry standards for both print and digital formats.
